Rough teaser from our new album.

Just a taste of what we’re working on while recording the album.

Last month we were invited to participate in the Durty Munny Art Show, created and hosted by our friend, Black Dave [of the band EVA and TheComeback apparel]. The event featured a variety of local artisans from street and tattoo artist to bands, fashion designers and local businesses. so, in the name of FH, i [joshua] decided to team up with long-time friend and local artist, PXL8, to create what you see here.
Dubbed “Behind The Chemical Shed”, last night, we tried to bring awareness to the the NDAA bill passed last week which threatens to effectively strip US citizens of their right to freedom of speech and, as well, gives the federal government the power to, at it’s discretion, arrest any American citizen, at any time, without trial or reason and hold them indefinitely.
Our orange jump-suited “prisoner” was sleeved out in “tattoos” expressing freedom and liberty while hanging by a noose above an inverted American flag. The main point of the display was to give a glimpse of our potential future should we stand by and allow our liberties to be taken from us and to also pose the question: When they come for you, torture you, lock you in a cell and take everything they can take from you except your life, will you submit or will you face your own death and decide that something that matters more to you than life?
this is a serious question we all have to ask ourselves at some point.
we’re pleased to say that our display was auctioned and sold! support local art, in all it’s forms!

despite the number of beers we consumed

progress on our latest song went well. this song hits a particularly hard note for me. the music it self is as aggressive and desperate as the topic the lyrics represent. we can’t wait to share it with you! january can’t come fast enough….that’s what she said.

long time, no tumble!

we haven’t been keeping up with our tumblr much but that’s about to change. so, if you like what we do and have a tumblr be sure to follow us, especially for video updates.

as we mentioned before we’re going up to North Carolina in January to record a split with our soul mates <3 in Medicine Man and Chondro [formerly Behold The Messenger]. we have high hopes that the end result will be a cacophony of hardcore [genres? who needs em?!] the likes of which the SC scene has yet to experience and showcase what you guys can expect from us [ALL of us] in 2012.

stay posi, stay tough, stay golden, stay up late, stay away from anything your horse won’t eat but most importantly, STAY TUNED!

my band, FOUNTAINHEAD playing “As Man Should Be” live at Jimbo’s Rock Lounge in Charleston, SC

AS MAN SHOULD BE

With time and experience comes change.
Well, a lot has changed as of late.
Metamorphosis made me who I am today.

“For with much wisdom comes more sorrow.
The more knowledge, the more grief.”

This is the way of the dead.
Let the dead keep it.
We were never meant to exist like this.
LET FRUSTRATION TAKE RESIDENCE INSIDE ME, INSIDE YOU.

So, gone away are the shallows.
Now this makeshift monster craves depth, CRAVES!
Take this life for what it is and what it has to offer.

You will find my closet void of skeletons.
No, they walk freely alongside me.
I’m still waiting, wanting, wandering.

charleston needs to show up and show us looooove.

we had the pleasure of playing with these guys a few back. so good!
